About RaaGa
Composer and Songwriter Ashiq started to work on this project with Elita with their first single Kothay, recorded in May, 2003 in collaboration with Ace Sound Engineer Habib and co-producer Balam. Emran (on keys) was also involved in the making.
Eventually, Nafees (on drums) joined the project around August, 2003. As the initial planning of an album began, the group got in touch with Joy (on bass) and Chisti (on guitars), who seem to play music and magic at the same time!
Very soon the compositions were finalized and this Nameless Project (the band members were shedding off one thinking cap after another trying to think up of a suitable name!) set off to the Studio – First at Art Of Noise then to Studio B. Finally, the name RaaGa came into being.
The band couldn’t have done without the encouragement and the great deal of support rendered by Sumon Bhai and Khaled Bhai (G Series).
