This is true, I am muslim because I was born into muslim family, I was raised, guided with islamic direction. But your question is not clear enough. Were you willing to ask about the historical proof on religion? If it is then As ami_bangali stated The historical proof of Islam religion is the holy quran. Being a muslims I would also refer to quranic reference. As far as other religion the proof is also visible enough by looking at the population following other religion. which one is true that is not something we are discussing, but as far as proofs, they definitely exixts.

Actually the question u r trying to raise here is, do we need to follow a religion to become "MANUSH". Well almost every religion gives u set of rules, talks about peace, mentions GOD. The main concept is to guide through a life where u dont harm anyone else.....or bhagara bhagara.

If we think beside the humanity which is considered here the subject point then i would say yes we need to follow the religion to become MANUSH. Otherwise we would consider ourselves as the creator. Religion answer the biggest point in the universe that is existence of lives. Have u read

however I am personally liking the statement of ANZ , that the purpose of religion is provide with good to human life. Prayer requires true intentions, nothing else.

Allah gives to human being da quality 2 justify which one z right and which one z wrong ....... so when a baby gotta grown up........ den ...... dey could easilY make a decision ...... which path dey should follow .......... beside that every parents r trying to c der children should follow dem coz dey like think its da best way .......... dats y dey teach em to follow dat specific religion.
