simple the purpose of life is to acheive the highest good in life and that is pleasure or happiness. Rests come later. But pleasure/happinesss is the key word which leads human to struggle or fight in the world. Whichever philoshopy we look at the basic nature of reality would come out this way. The subject of morality comes in second but we live our life to attaing the greastest happiness. And we struggle to maximaize that pleasure. Human is the greastest selfish creature in the universe. For each of us our own pleasure is what is valuable to us. But we can't forget that man is social being therefore, at the same time we try to acheive the greastest amount of pleasure for the greatest amount of people. Every step we take through our daily acitivities are for that highest good in life. And each person's pleasure is different in its own way such as money, relationship, career, services whichever gives them pleasure , they seek for that and that becomes the purpose of their lives.
