Let me ask a qn first.
Before Quinine was invented malaria took many lives.Now the qn is do u think the invention of Quinine is unethical ?! Surely Quinine is a Life Saving(Supporting) thing.
Now about the system u r talking about-I lost one of my too dear person in almost the same condition-I wondered then seeing her very suffering -why- why should she breath thru a machine !!
But u know wht we can't stop trying even if there's a too little chance of coming someones back. Science says Coma is not Full Stop.
It seems sometimes unethical but we want not a single stone unturned.
but u kno when u put life support...and if there is no hope left at last...eventually u get to take it out that...in this case most people often consider the dates...they intentionally take out the life support on such good days such as jumma bar for some religious purpose ( jumma bare mara gele koborer azab theke mukti paoa jay- beliefs) so in that case...dont u think that u are trying to manuplicating the death...i mean u can't decide when u will die unless u commited suicide..

probably I got the idea behind the question. Sister is willing to know if we can manupulate the death/fate with the help of the modern science. Very nice and important question - I think.
This question relates to one of the basics of Islam - Eeman. This is one of the 7 basics - Qad'r , Fate.
Sister, you have to believe in fate - that is Allah know everything from the very beginning of the creation. If you go through Sura Baqara, chapter 2, there Allah says that Allah created a pen at first of all the creation and commanded it to write. The pen said, Oh Allah what sould I write? Allah commanded the pen to write every detail that will happen till Qiyamah.
And also Rasulullah (Sw) said that, the pen has been taken away and the ink has dried. So we can't manipulate anything. Everything is destined to heppen and everything will happen accordingly.
Now coming to your point - Allah has the knowledge of Future. Allah knows everything of the Future. This is one of the attribute of Allah. Allah knows very well that - that particular patient of yours is going to enjoy the facility of modern science and hence Allah has fixed the exact time of his death.
