I never miss Chobi mela. Every year I try to visit as many exhibitions as possible of this grand festival of Photography. This year so far I visited the exhibitions at Drik. Three exhibitions are going on there:
- Pablo Bartholomew (India) on 'Early B&W Work: 1974 - 1981'
- Christian Helmley (Switzerland) on 'Boundaries'
- Abir Abdullah (Bangladeash) on 'Rivers & People'
The first and third ones are basically related to lifestyle and the middle one is about the landscapes of Switzerland.
With this law and order situation in the City, not sure how many exhibitions would I be able to visit this year.

Frankly speaking, I didn't like the exhibition on landscape, it was quite boring.
If you want to participate in Chobi Mela, you need to contact with Mr. Shahidul Alam. I'm sure you know where to find him. He'll guide you on the procedure to participate in the exhibition. You may also show him some of your works in your initial meeting, so that he has an idea if your photographs has the attributes that the judge panel of Chobi Mela would look for in each of the entries. He is a very nice person, so I'm sure you'll get full cooperation from him.
