Road Trip @ Quebec City

We have been planning for a while to take a long vacation. At least we got 9 days vacation from job. We are group of 7. You can say Lucky7. We rent a Van, distribute the responsibility .I was responsible for renting the van, accommodation and driver. We have to travel around 700 km to reach Quebec City. Don’t worry we have 4 drivers. Smile

April 7th we start our journey at 12:00 pm –We have our map---we made some sandwich, bought some chips, lots of juices and pops, fruit bars etc---Trust me we eat a lot 

It was night so we had to very careful while driving Beside the driver Navigator is ready with his map so that we don’t get lost .He is also responsible to keep the driver active ---so that he don fall asleep.

We reach Quebec City at 8:00 am had our breakfast. We were so tired ---so we stop by in a mall and sleep in the van for 2/3 hours. The next plan is to find a mosque so that we can pray duhr and refresh ourselves. It took us sometime to find the mosque because it’s a new city. After prayer we had our lunch in an Arabic store .It was delicious.

Before duhr we went to see a Falls called Montmorency Falls ---it’s beautiful---We have to go there via cable car, spent more then 1 hour

Québec City is almost entirely French in feeling, in sprit, and in language. It is the only fortified city in North America, and from the top of its ramparts you can admire the maze of narrow, winding streets and sloping roofs.

Québec City is one of the landmarks of North American history. Québec City has retained its European atmosphere completely.
The snaky streets are flanked by 17th and 18th-century stone houses and churches, graceful parks and squares, and countless monuments. The city's name is from an Algonquian word meaning, "where the river narrows."

Québec City, the cradle of French civilization in North America, is today a busy seaport, an important centre of services and research, a cultural hot spot and, of course, the provincial capital. Québec City is located 250 km east of Montréal and about 850 km north of New York City.
