coming back a long way from keokaradong through the jungle. we could do this cause we believed that it was winter and there was no snakes and leech. but nevertheless we saw one snake. we didn't have any protection.ppl should have the protection while going to this place against snakes and leech.

taking rest while coming back from keokaradong. it was a jhorna, the chilled water was very refreshing. we drank the water without any hesitation cause i think this water is even pure than what we drink here and have lots of minerals.

boga lake, afternoon view. this is the resthouse of army, one of the 2 resthouse of bogalake.the other one is Laram's resthouse. the right hill is the base camp of army. They have a helipad there on the hill. all of their foods and goods come here by chopper. from here, rumabazar is 12 Km chopper distance that is direct distance. but when we walk, it takes more than 6 hrs in the hilly region.

There was a myth about the Boga Lake among the hillmen. A large dragon used to live in a cave in a near by village. It used to feed on domestic animal and even children. One-day, village people gathered. They trapped the dragon and killed it. It called for a festival. But, Immediately after that the village caved in deep into the earth. Boga means dragon. The area is one lakh square metre. It is the only source of pure drinking water for the hill people. The most interesting aspect of this lake is that its water changes colour at different times of the day.

after conquering Keokaradong,i was posing in front of evergreen bogalake. boga lake is on average 100 feet deep and the deepest part is 115 feet. the most amazing thing is ppl don't know where from the water is coming. cause in winter there is no rainfall which will fill the lake .moreover ppl of boga lake has the only source of water, this lake.they use the water in all cases of their life.but the lake is always full to the brim even in winter.ppl guess that something like underground jhorna is connected with boga lake which is the source of water.

right side is thousand feet high and left side is thousand feet deep. only 1 foot for walkway.this path is really risky. u see only the path but the walker has to see the depth, thousands feet.if anybody has some phobia about height will faint to see that one side has nothing.if somehow stumble or slip then don't know what will happen. this path is also very slippery and specially in the morning due to dew drops.
nice posting. Indeed! its great. Thanks Asad.

we took rest here at 8 am. we took our breakfast, simply eating "muri". behind us there was a jhorna.

very risky. in the naked eye it seems very easy but the rocks r too slippery to walk . the rule of thumb is that don't pur ur foot on the big rock.pur ur steps on small rock(nuri, stone chip) as more as possible.if u r bound to pur ur step or big rock then become 100% cautious and keep ur all the sense active. keeping ur 6 senses

taking decision where to put the foot step

searching for slippery places by hand. actually it was almost 8 am and both the water and weather were chilling . actually normally the jhorna water is very cold even in summer and we were there at winter. oh god still i can feel that chilling jhorna water, just make ur leg senseless. so we couldn't feel the pain in the leg while walking for continuous 6 hrs in the hilly region. but everybody had to take pain killer at night Big Grin.

long way to go. u have to cross 58 jhiri like this between boga lake and ruma bazar.
