SAFF Championship: Bangladesh brush aside Pakistan to face India in final

KARACHI: Defending champions Bangladesh overpowered hosts Pakistan 1-0 in the second semi-final of the 6th South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship at the People’s Sports Complex here on Wednesday evening. Bangladesh will now take on India in the final to be played on Saturday. Three times gold medallists India defeated Maldives by a solitary goal in the first semi-final.
Pakistan and Bangladesh tie was an exciting one as both sides tried to gain supremacy. Bangladesh looked a better out fit than their rivals. The hosts got some open chances but their poor finishing let them down. Bangladesh netted the winner in the 38th minute through a penalty kick of Mohammad Sojan. India had to struggle hard to edge past Maldives 1-0. Right full back Manju Nanjangud Shivananju struck the all-important goal in the 38th minute. It was India’s third win over Maldives in the championship.

Ami final ta dekhte boshlam paper e etto latin football and etc dekhe.. Asha chilo Bangladesh na jani ki khelbe.. but tamon major kono unnoti amar chokh e porlo na.. hotey paare they had a bad day today but latin football er kono naamgondho ami dekhi ni tader khelay.. borong english football er longball style tai beshi try korte dekhlam..
Joy er role ta ki chilo ami bujhlam na.. Defensive midfielder role jodi hoye thake then he didnt play it well..Alfaz ekla khello and tao jokhon ja dorkar taar cheye beshi keramoti korar chesta korlo.. Arman and Motiur Munna was invisible.. Farhad ke puro match e just ekta dribble korar chesta korte dekhlam..
The only thing was the defence.. which looked a lot more solid than what i have learned to expect from them..
They lost in the final so aint complaining.. I\'ll give cruciani a lot of time to make a good team out of this national side..
