As for The Truman Show.. its about a baby boy who was bought by a corporation at birth and brought up in the biggest stage ever built..everything and everyone around him are actors and he is the star of the longest running reality show ever..everything that happens in his life including his marriage is written by writers to keep the audience attracted to the show.. there was one girl who really fell in love with him and was removed because of that from the show.. he still keeps trying to make a picture of her from random eyes and noses and lips cutouts from magazines that he gets.. its a story about how he one day begins to realise that the world he lives in is a fake one and how he deals about it..
After this movie i had no doubt about Jim Careys abilities as an actor.. im a huge fan of the man because of this movie.. and also cuz i saw a documentary on his life and found out how he got from rags to riches and still suffered cuz he didnt get rich soon enough..he places a 20 million dollar check on his dad\'s grave cuz he once promised his dad that he would get 10 million dollars for acting in a movie and his dad died just about a week before he got that kind of a payment.. im awestruck by the ability of this man to be funny even when he doesnt have a lot of happiness in his personal life..
Watch the movie if you can.. i recommend it highly..
