Ok .. as a Muslim we are not allowed to eat haram food but when the question of death comes we are even allowed to eat haram food . So it\'s a food.

When Indian subcontinent was ruled by British government this question had once raised as British army were providing Hindu prisoner beef and to Muslim pork. In that time some prisoners have chosen death in stead of eating..
