As a child, I had travelled to quite a few places in Bangladesh, but I never really got the opportunity to travel abroad. In January 2000, my father arranged a foreign trip without informing any of us (my dad loves giving surprises!), he took our passports, arraged the visa, tickets...everything...without telling us.
On one fine morning, he went out (as usual) and called at home around 12 noon and asked my mom to pack our bags, my mom was surprised and asked why would we pack our bags?...the conversation below say the rest of the story, read on......
Dad: hello, shuno tumi bachchader bolo nijeder bag guchhate, aar amader boro suitcase tae amar aar tomar kapor pack koro.
Mom: keno?
Dad: aamra kothao jabo
Mom: kothae?
Dad: ei ektu baire ghurbo
Mom: to baire ghurar jonno suitcase er ki dorkar?
Dad: ei jabo arki..mirpur, mohammadpur or maybe singapore!
Mom: what???!!!!!! (maa hindi film er surprised maa\'er moto ekta expression dilo!!)
and then..my brother started jumping (he was really small at that time!), I was excited as well...and thus our journey began, gelam amra Singapore....ghurlam for 5 dayz, bohut shopping korlam, skool miss gelo 4 dayz (who cares?)
Singapore e dekhar moto onek onek kichhu achhe, 5 deene purata ghora shobbhob naa, there\'s Night Safari (it\'s pretty scary, a zoo...without cages..ahem...got the idea?), Jurong Birdpark ( a place full of birds and birds, there\'s penguins, bats and owls as well
), National Orchid Garden (aahh...lovely trees and flowers) and lots and lots of Shopping Centres
And then there is the famous Sentosa Island, jeita ek deene dekha is not possible, it\'s a HUGE island with hundreds of activities to choose from.
There\'s the Underwater World, The Merlion, The Dancing Fountain, Monorail,
Images of Singapore (it\'s a museum..but it\'s NOT boring!!), there\'s also a Water Park (it\'s huge)
the best part about visiting Sentosa is the cable car ride
it\'s lovely, ONEK uchute cable car er modhdhe apni...cable car er niche transparent glass lagano, niche shomudro...hahaha..darun drishsho..if u r scared of heights, dnt even dare to ride in it!)
Singapore e arekta jinish khoob shundor sheita holo..River Cruise...hhmmm.....khubee shundor.......traditional Chinese Ship, chinese food..sharadeen onek moja kora jae, and they\'ll take u to an island as well...oi island e khali 2-3 temples aar priests der basha..tht\'s it..aar kichhu nai......it’s absolutely pretty.
Aaro mone hoe onek onek jinish achhe jegula I would love to share with everyone....but pore likhbo....ektu memory refresh korte hobe....!!!
